Volunteering at the Kitchener Waterloo Multicultural Centre
How can you help?
Volunteers are a very valuable asset to the K-W Multicultural Centre. You can get involved and help out in many ways:
- Tutoring English to newcomers
- Helping with job and housing search
- Assisting our office support staff
- Assisting with the Summer Festival and other special events
- Sharing your expertise with one of our committees
- Selecting the Centre as a placement site as part of your studies
- Telling your friends about the Centre
- Becoming a member of the Centre
- Making a donation
Volunteers find that the many benefits of helping at the K-W Multicultural Centre include a greater understanding of other people, cultures and the field of immigrant settlement, as well as a sense of personal fulfilment. Time commitments vary depending on project needs and volunteer availability.
